WORKS
Project 2
The project
This project involved the complete replacement of a heavily deteriorated flat roof system which had been suffering from persistent leaks, water ingress, and widespread failure of the existing felt covering.
The original roof had reached the end of its service life, with the felt system showing significant cracking, splitting, lifting joints, and signs of long-term weather damage. Previous repair attempts and patching had become ineffective, with moisture beginning to track beneath the roof covering and compromise the integrity of the system as a whole.
Following inspection, it was clear that isolated repairs would only provide a temporary solution, and a full replacement was recommended to properly resolve the ongoing issues and protect the property long-term.
The existing failed roof covering was removed and replaced with a new high-performance 3-layer torch-on felt system, designed to provide superior durability, weather resistance, and long-term waterproof protection. All details, upstands, edges, and flashings were completed to a high standard to ensure a fully sealed and reliable finish throughout.

The completed roof now provides a modern, highly durable waterproofing system built to withstand the harsh Scottish climate, while significantly improving both the reliability and lifespan of the flat roof for many years to come.
